Q: Is IBRF a medical service?

A: The International Brain Research Foundation, Inc. (IBRF) is a 501 (c) (3) public charity that serves as a platform for funding leading neuroscientists and research institutions around the world. The objective is to maximize the potential benefits derived from neuroscientific research and translate the results into clinically useful treatments for those afflicted with disorders of the brain. IBRF is not a medical service, but it does refer cases to treating hospitals and rehabilitation centers.

A: The International Brain Research Foundation operates solely on the philanthropy and giving of individuals and corporations who believe in the dedicated research that IBRF funds. The IBRF has as its mission to solve the problems associated with brain disorders and diseases. However, only with regular funding can the IBRF truly make a difference in the lives of countless individuals whose lives are affected.

Q: How can I become a donor?

A: There are many ways you can donate to the International Brain Research Foundation. Please know that your donation will be meaningful as IBRF expands its activities to embrace more research initiatives and advanced treatment protocols for patients in need. You may designate how the IBRF will use your monetary contribution:

  • For a specific IBRF research initiative.
  • For a research initiative identified for exploration.
  • As a contribution to the general operating fund of IBRF.

A: IBRF can generally schedule an appointment for within one to five days depending on the physical location of the family or patient in need.
