Bio — Scientific Advisory Board member

Allen Maniker, M.D.

Dr. Allen Maniker is a Professor of Neurological Surgery at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, where he is also the director of Neurotrauma for University Hospital, one of the largest level I trauma centers in the Northeastern United States.

Dr. Maniker received his M.D. degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, his hometown. He completed his residency in Neurological Surgery at the New Jersey Medical School in 1993 and remained on as faculty.

He completed a fellowship in Neurotrauma at the Medical College of Virginia under Dr. Anthony Marmarou and Peripheral Nerve Fellowship at the University of Louisianna under Dr. David Kline. He did additional fellowship work with Dr. Michel Kliot at the University of Washington.

He has published extensively in the fields of Neurotrauma and Peripheral Nerve and as co-investigator holds several NIH grants in these areas.
